SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS
The Village of McFarland is currently accepting
applications for School Crossing Guard positions
beginning in September of 2019. This position is
responsible for safely escorting school age children
across heavily traveled streets, monitoring the approach
of children and of oncoming traffic, and stopping traffic if
necessary to enable children to cross the street safely.
Must be at least 18 years old and able to gauge, direct,
and control traffic, bicycle, and pedestrian movements.
All necessary equipment and training will be provided.
Hours are mainly from 7:40 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. and 2:40
p.m. to 3:10 p.m. on school days; however, applicants
who can only work morning or afternoon shifts, or on a
fill-in basis will also be considered.
Wages are $15.13 for each morning and afternoon
