After last week’s weather caused officials to cancel school on three days, local kiddos got a chance to get out of the house on Monday. The Windsor deputies hosted their annual Cookies and Crafts event at the DMB Neighborhood Center in Windsor on Feb. 4, which was a scheduled day off for DeForest Area School District students. Many families headed to the event where youngsters interacted with the deputies, created crafts and decorated cookies. Dane County Sheriff David Mahoney even came by for the fun.
