WINDSOR, WI – Robert “Bob” J. Newlun, 71, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 11, 2016. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 16th at the Windsor United Church of Christ in Windsor, WI with Rev. Julie Overman & Rev. David McDonald officiating. Burial with military honors accorded will be in the Windsor Cemetery in Windsor, WI. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15th at the Windsor United Church of Christ and on Saturday, January 16th from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Bob was born on January 4, 1945 in Woodstock, IL. He grew up in La Farge, WI with his parents Paul & Helen (McElhose) Newlun, graduating from La Farge High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Navy. He served from 1962-1965 and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI. After his honorable discharge, he worked a few different jobs at Frito-Lay in Madison, WI and for Warren Transport before beginning in his career at Mendota Mental Health Institute, where he worked for 33 years in the security department. He retired at the end of 2003. It was at Mendota that he met his wife, Lorraine “Lori” Gasser. They married in September 1980. Bob loved being outdoors and putzing in the yard when he wasn’t busy keeping the vehicles all clean and shiny. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, loved deer hunting each fall and enjoyed being in the woods and spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter-in-law, Tracy Dempsey; 2 grandchildren: Griffin & Jessica Newlun all of La Farge, WI; his son, Rob Newlun; 3 sisters-in-law: Mariellen Gasser of Windsor, WI, Janet (Richard) Krueger of Hazel Green, WI and Audrey (Mitch) Weger of Madison, WI; his special companion, Bandit; along with nieces and nephews. DeForest — Delphine Ruhland-Walton, age 86, passed away on Aug. 1, 2015 with her husband, Bob, and family and friends at her side. Delphine was born on April 14, 1929 to Herman and Cecilia (Meixelsperger) Feiner. She was the first of nine children: Jannette (Alfred Umhoefer), Ann (Corliss) Deets, Cecile Feiner, Arlene Feiner, Rudy (Ilene) Feiner, Alica Sacca, Phyllis Feiner, and Ken (Denise) Feiner. Herman and Cecilia raiser their family on a farm in Wilson Creek near Spring Green, WI.
DEFOREST – Alice A. (Jensen) Fay, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home. Alice was born to Ernest and Arline Jensen on July 21, 1937 in Marshfield, WI. On May 10, 1958, she was united in marriage with Kenneth Fay.

DEFOREST/BEAVER DAM – Dorene Kay Quam, age 75, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Monday, April 6, 2015. Born August 6, 1939 in Wahpeton, ND, to George and Myrtle (Jacobson) Kunkle. Dorene grew up in the Beaver Dam area. After marriage, she raised her family in DeForest, WI. She ran a family day care for many years, worked at EVCO Plastics, and enjoyed a part-time position at the DeForest Times-Tribune. Most recently she was a devoted volunteer at DeForest Senior Center and at her church. Dorene supported music as a Band Mother and school athletics for her children and grandchildren. She loved sewing, gardening, canning, reading, singing, rock collecting with her grandchildren, and rooting for the Milwaukee Brewers.
MORRISONVILLE – Darlene D. Gove-Beyer, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Meriter Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on March 13, 1934 in Fox Lake, WI, the daughter and youngest child of Otto and Minnie (Kruger) Siedschlag. She grew up on the family farm in Fox Lake and in Casa Grande, AZ. Among her happiest childhood memories was riding her beloved horse, Duchess, with her best friend Shirley. Darlene graduated from Fox Lake High School in 1952. She married Ryan F. Gove, March 19, 1954; he preceded her in death in 1997. She married David Beyer, June 5, 1999. Darlene was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, including the Zion Dorcas Society and former choir member. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, DeForest. Darlene was very proud of being a charter member of a WELS Mission Church Trinity in Mountain Home, AR. Darlene loved to travel, and some of her favorite destinations included Germany, Ireland, Israel (where she was baptized in the River Jordan by Reggie White), Glacier National Park, Arizona for Spring Training, and especially her yearly trips to Door County with “The Gove Girls”. Darlene loved animals of all kind and had many pets over the years, including horses, dogs, cats, and birds. She also loved gardening, antiquing, reading, sewing, interior decorating, “Downton Abbey”, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends.
LAKE DELTON - Arlene Grace Warmuth, age 75, of Lake Delton, formerly DeForest, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She was born July 4, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Peter N. and Martha (Fertikowski) Dielen.

DeForest – Donald J. Laes Jr., age 65, died on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 10, 1949 in Green Bay, the son of Donald J. Sr. and Jacqueline (Wood) Laes. Don graduated from Riverdale High School in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Diane S. Ziesch on August 18, 1979.

DeForest – Raymond L. Steventon, age 88, passed away on September 15, 2014 at Skaalen Nursing Home. He was born on April 17, 1926 in Merrick, NY, the son of Franklin B. and Alice Steventon. He married Harriet G. Magnus on March 12, 1948 in Memphis, TN.
WINDSOR – Rosalie A. “Rose” Pongratz, age 76, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 16, 2014. She was born on August 5, 1938, the daughter of Rudolph and Irene (Weiseke) Krebs. Rose was an avid Badger, Packer and Nascar fan, and enjoyed collecting teddy bears. She enjoyed garage sales, shopping, and sewing. She loved her cats, Sassy and Smokey, Sunday afternoon rides with Bill and spending time with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She is survived by her longtime friend and partner, Bill Leuthner; her daughter, Susan Pongratz (Richard) Fischer; two granddaughters, Lisa Marie Poole (fiancé, Chris Bengry), and Amy Sue (Matt) Zuehlke; two great-granddaughters, Taylor Lynn King and Alyssa Mary Ann King; and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Pongratz; and other family members. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22, 2014, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Pastor Roger Eigenfeld presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Karmenta Center and Agrace HospiceCare for their care of Rose.
DeForest – Kenneth E. Ripp (Grandpa), age 77 passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena. He was born on December 18, 1936 in DeForest, the son of Mathias and Grace (Brabender) Ripp. He graduated from DeForest High School and spent most of his life in DeForest. Ken was a farmer in his earlier years and later worked at Chase Lumber in Windsor and DeForest for over 40 years. He retired from Chase Lumber in 2011. After living in East Bristol for almost nine years, he moved his family back to DeForest. Kenny became a Volunteer Fireman in DeForest – something he was very proud of. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, trap shooting, and bowling for many years. Dad was an avid Brewers fan and never wanted to miss watching a game. He was also known for his love of dancing and card playing. Kenny looked forward to his annual deer hunting trips and many fishing trips with his friends. Later in life, he enjoyed throwing horseshoes and going on an occasional casino run.
DEFOREST - Mark L. Newell, age 64, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer and many related illnesses. Mark was born on December 7, 1949 to Clare and Luella Harvey Newell. He grew up in DeForest in the tiny white house that his parents built on S. Main Street and graduated from DeForest High School. He was a proud member of the Boy Scouts and, following in the footsteps of his father and brothers, earned his Eagle Scout rank as a high school junior.
MADISON - Gary R. Noggle, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends at Agrace HospiceCare, of bladder cancer. He fought a long, hard battle. He was born on January 21, 1952, in Madison, the son of Calvin and Dolores Noggle. The loves of his life were his wife Darlene, his daughters Jen, Stephanie and Tina, son Andy, step-son Kyle, and his four grandchildren. Gary would want to be remembered for his love of family, friends and the Packers. He was a meat cutter for 26 years before starting his second career in customer service, most recently at PNC. Gary enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling, boating, bowling, softball, playing cards and especially his family camping trips to Castle Rock Lake for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Darlene; daughters Jen (John) Cook, Stephanie (Matt) Hafermann, Tina Jaeke and special friend Scott Oetzman; son Andy Noggle and special friend Taylor Andaverde; step-son Kyle Williams; grandchildren Ethan, Evan, Isaac and Braeden; brother Calvin Noggle, Jr.; sister-in-law Cathy Gilligan; and other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Greg Noggle. A Celebration of Life will be held at his daughter’s home, W4828 Bradley Road, Rio, on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. DeForest - Delores Rose Motiff, age 87, of DeForest, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Artisan Assisted Living. She was born February 25, 1927 in Madison, the daughter of William and Ottilia (Geier) Kaltenberg. She married Robert Motiff in 1948 and he preceded her in death in February 2004 after 55 years of marriage. Delores was a caregiver much of her life; taking care of her siblings after their mother died; her father in his later years; and raising five children while Bob was on the road for work. Once they purchased their own business, K-M Cooler Service, she worked side by side with Bob. Delores was a very good gardener, and loved working in her flower, vegetable and strawberry gardens. She was also a wonderful seamstress, sewing many of her children’s clothes and was very crafty. She will be remembered as a spunky lady whose sense of humor kept her family laughing. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren; and could always be counted on.

Russel “Russ” Jon Berna, 71, passed away July 12, 2014 in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife Donna of 14 years by his side. Russ was born on July 19, 1942 in Elgin, Illinois to Henry “Hap” Joseph Berna and Marion Elizabeth Liedberg. He spent his younger years stirring up harmless trouble in Burlington, Illinois before graduating from Central High School in 1960. He attended Elgin Community College for one year, prior to starting work at American Breeders Service (ABS). He worked at ABS for over 30 years allowing him to travel the world, and live in several different states. He also had a brief employment with Worldwide Sires. Russ was charismatic, had a love for animals, especially dogs and horses and displayed a great sense of humor and wit. He enjoyed traveling, spending time in the great outdoors, and fishing. He was a remarkable businessman and mentor to many.

WINDSOR – Dennis “Denny” R. Hron, age 63, of Windsor, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born on May 14, 1951 in Madison, the son of Eugene J. and Jane E. (Schott) Hron. Denny graduated from LaFollette High school, Class of 1969. He was married to Charlotte Pollock on September 26, 1970 in Madison. She preceded him in death in 2010. Denny served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked for many years for Wisconsin Porcelain (Washington Mills) until his retirement in 2013. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and spend time up north at the family cabin. He is survived by his son Jeff (Candi) Hron; mother, Jane Hron; brothers, Dan (Jane) and Dale Hron. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends and close friends, Karen Corbett and Greg (Linda) Gardiner. He was preceded in death by his son Gregory in 1994; wife Charlotte in 2010; brother David in 2011; father Eugene in 1998; and close friend James Corbett in 2009.

Ricky Howard Johnson was born on Feb. 26, 1964 to Raymond and Patricia Johnson in Shell Lake, Wis. He passed away on May 16, 2014 in Madison, Wis. after a long battle with cystic fibrosis.
WINDSOR - Steven D. Horne, age 47, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born in Madison on January 18, 1967, the son of Darrell and LaVonne (Esser) Horne. Steve married Jennifer Aschbrenner, on one of the happiest days of his life, on October 14, 2000 at Christ the King Church in McFarland. Steve was a family man, his son Ryan was the center of his life and nothing pleased him more than watching Ryan in all of his sports and school activities. Steve was an avid football fan. He played football growing up at Sacred Hearts, Sun Prairie High School (where he also wrestled) and in college at UW Stout. He coached football at Menomonie High School and officiated football throughout the state. He was an avid fan of the UW-Stout Blue Devils, Badgers, Packers and DeForest Norskies. His Dad was his best friend. They enjoyed golfing together as well watching the Badgers and Packer games and going hunting up north. Steve also supported his nephews during their sporting events and could always be heard cheering in the stands. Steve was proud of to have served his community as a Loaned Executive for the United Way. Steve’s faith was also a very important part of his life. Steve shared many fond memories of high school friends (especially the “Big 8”) and fraternity brothers (FOB’S). He was a child at heart. His bear hugs and laughter will be missed and Christmas will not be the same without “Santa Steve.”
