The fourth annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) camp took place recently at DeForest Area High School. Although it started as a way to get more girls involved in STEAM classes and professions, it has continued to evolve. After the first year, it was opened it up to other students, while remaining limited to eighth graders. This year was the biggest group the camp has ever had as it was opened to all middle schoolers and offered a wider variety of activities. The girls here are creating mazes.
