Carter Schneider scored 18 points to lead Lakeside Lutheran in an 74-64 non-conference loss to Monroe on Jan. 7.

MONROE — Monroe 6-foot-8 junior forward Cade Meyer scored 26 points as the Cheesemakers won 74-64 to snap the Lakeside Lutheran boys basketball team’s four-game win streak in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

Lakeside (6-4) trailed 37-25 at the break and shot 7-for-10 at the free throw line. Monroe (8-1) went 22-of-30 at the line and J.T. Seagraves (16 points) and Carson Leuzinger (14 points) also scored in double figures.

Warrior senior guard Carter Schneider tallied 18 and junior forward John O’Donnell had 17, making three of the team’s seven 3-pointers.

Freshman guard Levi Birkholz chipped in eight, senior guard Collin Schulz had seven and junior forward Ian Olszewski scored six.


The Warriors host Columbus to open Capitol North play on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
