December Sobek of Lake Mills has graduated for the Spring Semester from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science-Teaching degree with a major in elementary education/K6 education.
St. Lawrence University
Riley E. Whitney of Lake Mills has been inducted into St. Lawrence University’s Chi Alpha Sigma honorary society for being an outstanding college student-athlete, who excels in the classroom, in their sport, and in the community. Whitney is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in geology. Whitney participated in alpine skiing. Students are nominated to Chi Alpha Sigma by their head coaches for their contributions to their team, for their moral character and for having achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Joseph Carrigan of Lake Mills has been named to the Deans’ List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2018-19 academic year. Carrigan, a junior actuarial science and finance major, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Business.

Milwaukee School of Engineering
Alyssa Walker, received academic honors from Milwaukee School of Engineering for the 2019 Spring Quarter: She was on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean’s List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive “high honors.”
Upper Iowa University has announced the Dean’s List for the 2019 spring semester. To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade point average for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student. The honored students included Samantha Connell, a Business Admin major from Lake Mills.

James Lang, Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering and Antoinette Smith, Masters, Physician Assistant Studies. 2,112 undergraduate and graduate students received their diplomas on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee during Marquette’s 138th Commencement ceremony.
