Wisconsin Farm Technology Days are being held in Jefferson County this year from July 23-25. It will be on the Walter Grain Farms at W5340 French Road, Johnson Creek. Jefferson County is kind of sandwiched in between two large urban areas and some of the traditional farms still exist. Many of them passed from one family generation to another, but more farms are being lost. Make sure to visit this event while it is here in Jefferson Co.

I alluded to a change in the Senior Center in a past column. We are in the process of talks with the Lake Mills Recreation Department about the operations of the senior center to provide for stability for the future. They have a professional network that shares best practice, resource sharing, and new programing ideas. Stay tuned for any new information.
