Advanced ride tickets on sale now at the Leader office

Town and Country Days ride tickets are on sale at the Lake Mills Leader office. The cost this year is $12 for six tickets. Buy now and save. Tickets will be available until 4 p.m. Friday, June 28. Town and Country Days runs June 27 - June 30. The American Legion gets a percentage from Christman Amusements for early ticket sales.

American Legion sliders only served in the park

The American Legion slider stand is open Fridays through Oct. 5. Sliders will be sold from approximately 10 a.m. until they are sold out. Sliders are being sold only at the park through Town & Country Days. The Main Street stand will open in July.

Home bound delivery from library

The L.D. Fargo Library is now offering Home bound Delivery service of library materials to Lake Mills residents who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term health issues or disability. All circulation policies apply. You can request this service by calling 920-648-2166.

Town and Country Days parade route application

The Town and Country Days Parade is Saturday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. The route for the parade will be the same as last year. The lineup is on North CP Avenue. Applications for the parade and a map can be found on the Lake Mills Chamber of Commerce website chamber@lakemills.org and at the chamber office.

Night Out Against Crime June 25

The Lake Mills Police department will hold ts sixth annual “Night Out Against Crime” at it’s new location Real Hope Community Church, 1345 Stonehedge Ln., from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 25. The event is free to the public. Watch the UW MedFLight Helicopter land and take off, see the EMS demonstration, take advantage of the free health screenings and much more.

City Band “Music in the Park”

The Lake Mills City Band will be holding their summer season of music. Enjoy this free, family fun in downtown Commons Park at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 will be the Children’s Concert for the young and young at heart! (Guest conductor Brad Klotz). if the weather is inclement, the concert is held at City Hall.

Lake Mills Class of 1989 to hold 30th reunion

The Lake Mills High School class of 1989 will hold its 30th reunion on Saturday, June 29 at the beer tent during Town & Country Days. We will be gathering by or near the ticket booth around 7 p.m. Looking forward to seeing as many fellow graduates as possible. “Additionally, if interested in playing golf, meet at the Lake Mills Golf Club from 1-1:30 p.m. for a round with some classmates. No reservation needed as tee times have been set aside for Class of ’89.”

Lake Mills Class of 1959 to hold 60th reunion

The Lake Mills High School class of 1959 will hold its 60th reunion on Thursday, June 27 at Lewis Station Winery, 217 N. Main St., from 3-7 p.m. This will be an informal event and everyone is welcome to attend to visit with members of the class.

Lake Mills Class of 1964 to hold 55th reunion

The Lake Mills High School class of 1964 will hold its 55th reunion on Friday, June 28 at Tyranena Brewery, at 3 p.m with a wide variety of music and entertainment, open to the first 100 to contact the reunion committee.

Lake Mills Fourth of July fireworks

This year’s fireworks display will be Thursday, July 4, at dusk. Public viewing will be from the Seljan Company grounds, 500 S. CP Ave. Brat stand by The Lake Mills Market and Free face painting sponsored by Tyler Speth American Family Insurance begin at 6:30 p.m. and go until the time of show. There will be free glow sticks for the kids sponsored by Chapter 2 Inc.
