Great Apple Crunch

Carter Schneider of Lake Mills enjoys an apple at lunch at Lakeside Lutheran High School last week for the Great Apple Crunch. The apples were provided by Jelli’s Market, one of the areas apple orchards. Fourty-six of Wisconsin’s 72 counties have at least one commercial orchard with Wisconsin producing about 56 million pounds of fruit per year and $9 million in revenue. The state has about 7,400 acres of land dedicated to producing apples.
