Beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, ventriloquist James Wedgewood will take to the Standard Process Kids Stage. He has been described as the "most fun you can have without moving your lips."
"We've had a ventriloquist in the past and the kids loved it," said Fair Park intern Jenna Topel.
Wedgewood performs at 4 p.m. on Saturday and then again on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 and 4 p.m.
Also at 1 p.m. is the 46th annual Meat Animal Project Auction at the MAP Sales Arena. That will be followed at 5 p.m. by the small animal sale.
A night of rock 'n' roll begins at 7 p.m. on the main stage with Wisconsin native band Mojo Radio. This rock and blues-inspired band, with a Jeffersonian as a member, is the perfect introduction for Kansas, which starts its performance at 9 p.m.
Kansas released its first self-titled album in 1974 and has been a music legend ever since. The band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album and a million-selling gold single, "Dust in the Wind."
Over in Puller's Saloon, The Empty Pockets will preform at 8 and 10:30 p.m.
Foghat also will be preforming at 10:30 p.m. in the Miller Lite Entertainment Tent.
"People are very excited for Kansas, and Foghat especially in the beer tent," said Topel.
