Jameson Lavery struck out 16 batters for Evansville as the Jays earned a 4-0 victory against Lake Mills in Home Talent Southeast Section Sunday League action on Sunday.
Evansville scored twice in the ninth inning to put the game out of reach for good.
The Grays were outhit, 8-2.
Lake Mills will continue its season with a doubleheader against Albion at noon on Sunday, June 16.
Stoughton earned a 14-0 victory against Cambridge in seven innings at home. Ben Riffle scattered six hits and one walk in a complete-game victory. The Merchants remain atop the Southeast Section with a 6-0 record. Cambridge has a 1-4 record and is tied with McFarland and Waterloo for seventh place out of 10 teams in the section.
Albion (4-1, second place) knocked off Jefferson (4-2, fourth place) with a 15-11 victory. The Tigers drew 11 walks and had 11 hits. They put five runs up in the second inning and seven runs in the fifth inning.
Fort Atkinson outhit McFarland, 10-2, to earn an 8-0 victory. Drew Dunkleberger struck out six batters, and gave up four walks and two hits in a complete-game win. It was the fifth complete game the Generals have had.
Utica (3-4, sixth place) held off Waterloo for a 5-4 victory in a game on Sunday. Waterloo scored two runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth before eventually losing at home.
