The Lodi girls soccer team had a very interesting week, as the Blue Devils captured a win and posted a pair of ties.
The Blue Devils’ win came April 29 against Mauston. Lodi blanked the host Golden Eagles 4-0.
In Capitol Conference action on April 30, the Lady Blue Devils played visiting Lake Mills to a 2-2 tie.
Lodi also earned a tie, 1-1 against visiting Platteville, on May 2.
The Lady Blue Devils are now 4-2-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the Capitol. They are tied with Lake Mills, Wisconsin Heights and Luther Prep for second place behind Sugar River (3-0).
Lodi will compete in the Waupun Invite this Saturday and then will host Monroe and DeForest on May 13 and 14, respectively. The game with the Cheesemakers is set for 5 p.m., while the Blue Devils will host the Norskies at 6:45 p.m.
The Lady Blue Devils scored three second-half goals to put away Mauston.
Grasyn Schmidt scored the only goal of the first half off an assist by Alayna Rosga.
Rosga then scored an unassisted goal three minutes into the second half.
Lodi closed with unassisted goals by Alana Gilles and Rosga.
Blue Devil goalie Melissa Burmeister preserved the shutout with three saves.
Lake Mills 2
Lodi overcame a 2-1 halftime lead to earn a tie with Lake Mills.
The Blue Devils held one lead in the game after Grasyn Schmidt scored 10 minutes into the contest.
Lake Mills led after halftime after a pair of goals by Ava Stelter.
Lodi scored the tying goal with nine minutes remaining in regulation.
Rylee Schmidt finished the game with two saves.
The Blue Devils were unable to hold on to a 1-0 halftime lead in the tie with Platteville.
The game was scoreless until Gilles scored with four minutes remaining in the first half.
Platteville tied the game at the 80-minute mark.
Rylee Schmidt had one save for the Blue Devils.
