Heading up to Madison on Monday, the Milton girls golf team finished fourth of 19 teams at the Crusade Fore A Cure Invite at Maple Bluffs County Club. The Red Hawks shot 368, only 10 strokes behind leader Middleton’s 358 and finished just two strokes behind Badger South conference opponent Edgewood’s 366.

Taylor Hakala led the Red Hawks, finishing in the top 10 at seventh with a round of 85. Claudia Seeman also shot under 90, finishing with an 89 to tie for 15th place. Reagan Moisson was one stroke behind Seeman at 90 for 17th. Grace Weiss played a round of 104 while Desirae Dorcey rounded out the Red Hawks by shooting a 108.

Monona Grove Dual

Returning home on Tuesday, the Red Hawks took out Monona Grove in a dual play by nearly 40 strokes, 178 to 216.

Three Red Hawks shot under 50 for the 9-hole round — Hakala with 41, Seeman with 43 and Weiss with 44. Moisson finished with a 50 while Dorcey shot a round of 53.

Only one player from Monona Grove shot under 50, but it was well under. Klairissa O’Reilly-Dye tied Hakala for the best round of the day at 41. Akeeli Noyce was the next lowest round for Monona Grove at 56.
