Ethan Langer has been named the varsity coach for the Milton High School boys’ tennis team.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for Langer, who graduated from Milton in 2016.

“I just love the Milton area,” Langer said. “Great kids. It’s kind of different from the other school districts personally, especially since I went there.”

Langer played all four years on the tennis team while at Milton.

Langer, a junior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in psychology and minoring in coaching. He also plays on the UW-W club tennis team.

Langer comes into the coaching position with coaching experience. Earlier this year he was the JV girls coach and he coached the JV boys team last season.

Langer expects his boys to have a strong season: “I really just want the players to play to the best of their ability,” Langer said. “I want to be there to support them. I know sometimes there are down days and I just want to be there to pick them back up.”
