Red Hawks

The Milton High School Legion baseball team got poured on last week.

Figuratively and literally speaking.

The Red Hawks were defeated by Oregon by 13 runs, as the Panthers poured on 14 runs in their 14-1 victory over Milton on June 18.

Milton was scheduled to take on Jefferson on Monday, June 24, in Milton, but the game was rained out.

Against the Panthers, the Red Hawks were only able to record two hits.

The Panthers jumped out to a quick lead, scoring four runs in the first inning before Milton was able to record the first out.

Oregon ended the contest with nine hits.

The Red Hawks headed to Madison to take on La Follete on Tuesday, June 25, but results were not available by publication time.

Up next for Milton will be a July 3 game against Edgerton at Racetrack Park at 7 p.m.
