Zach Bothun

Freshman Zach Bothun carded an 91 at Milton’s Badger South mini meet on May 6.

The Red Hawks finished 20th at the The Legend Clubs Invitational on Tuesday, April 30, at The Legend at Bristlecone in Hartland.

Milton headed to University Ridge Golf Course on Thursday, May 2, to compete in the Morgan Stanley Invitational in Madison. The Red Hawks placed 10th out of 12 teams.

The Red Hawks finished fourth at a Badger South mini meet on Monday, May 6, at Watertown Country Club.

Legend Invitational

Milton collected 388 strokes, six behind St. Mary Spring’s (382). Marquette High School claimed the top spot in the invitational with a team score of 307.

Milwaukee Marquette is the top-ranked team in Division 1.

Senior AJ Gray grabbed Milton’s top score with an 83, tied for 33.

Freshman Zach Bothun and Tanner Brown both fired scores of 100, tied for 88th.

Sophomore Brayden Kline and senior Alec Revels carded a 105 and 112, respectively to round out the Red Hawks.

Stanley Invitational

The Red Hawks got their first look of the season of the state tournament site, University Ridge Course in Madison.

Gray tied for sixth overall with a score of 77 to lead Milton with its team score of 359. Middleton beat out Madison Edgewood in a playoff to win the invitational with a team card of 310.

Bothun and Kline tied for second amongst Red Hawks with scores of 93. Revels and Brown both carded 96s.

Badger South Meet

Milton collected 349 team strokes, good for five points. Madison Edgewood was dominant in their first-place finish. The Crusaders collected just 295 strokes. Oregon placed second with 330 strokes.

Gray carded an 80 and placed seventh overall. Gray shot 40s on both the front and back nines.

Kline fired an 84, which was second on Milton and 13th overall. Kline matched Gray’s score on the back nine with a 40, but collected 44 strokes on the front nine.

Bothun recorded 91 strokes for Milton.

Playing at the five spot, Brown rounded out the Red Hawk scoring with a 94. Revels fired a 105 on the day.

Milton competed in the Badger Challenge on Wednesday, May 8, at Door Creek Golf Course in Cottage Grove.

The Red Hawks will golf in the Badger Conference Tournament on Tuesday, May 14, at The House on the Rock Resort Golf Course in Spring Green at 9 a.m.
