More than 2,500 people attended Milton Rock the Rock held Jan. 18 at Milton High School. 

Seventeen mixed groups and six women's groups competed from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. Three Milton High School Choirs (Choralation, Octave Above and Revolution) performed in exhibition. 

Altogether there were more than, 1,100 performers. 

More than 200 parents and community members volunteered on Saturday. 

Erik Meinertz, MHS director of vocal music, described the event as a huge success. 

"We draw a lot of attention to Milton throughout the Midwest because of this event," he said.

Power Company from Waconia High School was Grand Champion with Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Band, Best Crew. 

At Milton High School 135 MHS students are involved in show choir.
