Poynette School District has again been rated four stars by the Department of Public Instruction, meaning it “exceeds expectations.”
The 2016-17 report cards are based on scores on the Forward Exam, as well as measures such as graduation rates and absenteeism.
The district as a whole received a score of 77.1/100. The individual school’s scores are:
• Poynette Elementary School, 80.9, four stars (exceeds expectations)
• Poynette Middle School, 75.3, four stars (exceeds expectations)
• Poynette High School, 68.4, three stars (meets expectations)
Statewide, 82 percent of Wisconsin public and private schools received three or more stars. More than 95 percent of public school districts earned at least a three-star rating, according to the DPI.
