Sun Prairie’s Mia Zutter finished eighth in the Women’s 15km Free in the Cross-Country Skiing at Alpensia Biathlon Centre during Monday’s Paralympic Winter Games, held in PyeongChang, South Korea.

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — Sun Prairie’s Mia Zutter finished eighth in the visually impaired 15km freestyle Monday to make her Paralympic debut along with guide Kristina Trygstad-Saari (Bozeman, MT).

The duo also is slated to compete in the 7.5km classic and 1.5km sprint later in the Games.

Zutter, a 2017 Sun Prairie High School graduate, was diagnosed with Stargardt disease in 2011, a degenerative eye condition resulting in a loss of central vision.
