Where can you get great food from more than 12 Sun Prairie restaurants, live music from three great bands, entertainment for the kids and a beer garden? If you said The Taste of Sun Prairie, you’d be absolutely correct.
Co-sponsored by the Sun Prairie Lions Club, Bank of Sun Prairie and Sun Prairie’s Business Improvement District, the Taste of Sun Prairie (being presented by the Sun Prairie Lions Club) will be held from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on July 26 in downtown’s Cannery Square.
The Taste features food from Atlantis Taverna, Daly’s, Day One Pizza, Eddie’s Alehouse, House of Mei, Market Street Diner, Plate & Barrel, The Nitty Gritty, Varsity, Water Tower Chophouse and more!
Sun Prairie’s own Soggy Prairie Boys will kick off the musical entertainment from 12-2 p.m., followed by Down from the Hills from 2:45-4:45 and the Gnarly Barley Boys from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Yes, the bands will play longer than the festival is scheduled, but that’s to attract more people to stay downtown and have dinner or enjoy the downtown night life after the conclusion of The Taste.
Of course, it’s important to host events like The Taste not only to allow Sun Prairie residents to sample local restaurants, but also to expose visitors to the downtown and what it has to offer.
And, of course, see your Sun Prairie friends and neighbors, and help support important causes such as community projects funded by the Sun Prairie Lions Club.
We hope all of our readers taste The Taste!
