STOUGHTON — Jordan Hensler drove in Travis Noel in the top of the fourth inning to plate the only run, and Nick Brozek pitched a three-hit shutout leading the Waterloo McKays to a 1-0 Home Talent League East Night League win over the host Stoughton Merchants on June 13.

With the game scoreless through three innings Noel led off the Waterloo half of the fourth with a single. After Louis Hensler followed suit, Jordan Hensler drilled a single to left scoring Noel for a 1-0 McKays lead.

It remained that way as Brozek struck out four and only allowed one Merchant to reach third base all night.

Joseph Cook led Waterloo at the plate going 2-for-3.

Waterloo is now 2-1 in the East Night League standings.

Sunday’s game with the Jefferson Blue Devils was rained out. No make-up date has yet been set.

The McKays (3-5 overall) return to Night League play Thursday facing the Cambridge Blues. The game will be played in Fort Atkinson and begins at 7:30 p.m.

Waterloo then hosts the Albion Tigers on Friday. The Southeast Section Sunday League game starts at 7 p.m.
