The Dodge County Master Gardener Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 in the Dodge County Administration Building Auditorium, 127 E. Oak St., Juneau.
The program is free and open to gardeners of all levels of experience and skill.
Participants will also become familiar with the Master Gardener program and meet others with gardening interests.
This month’s presentation will be: Peonies by Michelle Ovans. The owner of Ovans Peony Farm, Ovans, is a specialty cut flower grower. Her first peony farm was started in Merrill in 2009 and has recently purchased a new farm in Beaver Dam where she will be planting over 600 peonies with around 45 different varieties.
The farm specializes in growing florist grade cut flowers for do-it-yourself brides, florist and the wholesale flower market. Over 80 percent of the flowers that are purchased through floral shops and grocery stores, come from South America.
Ovans Peony Farm is a local grower producing over 2,000 stems yearly.
