The Karl Junginger Memorial Library is teaming up with the Jefferson County Aging and Disability Resources Center (ADRC) to outline the programs offered by the county for seniors.

The program is planned for 1 p.m. July 19 at the Waterloo library.

Representatives from the ADRC will outline the services offered including caregiving, dementia, Medicare and disability/elder benefits, along with dining and food programs, free clinics and housing.

One of the features of the program will be information on the “Driver/Escort and Veteran’s Van” and Mobility Manager transportation services that are available. There may be a free van ride offered to participants.

The Veteran’s Administration has provided Jefferson County with a van to take veterans to medical appointments at the VA Medical Center in Madison. The service is free to veterans.

Mobility Manager is available to older adults, people with disabilities and anyone facing barriers finding transportation. Mobility Manager focus is on meeting individual customer needs through a wide range of transportation options and service providers.

Other services offered by ADRC will also be discussed at the program.
