A 60-year-old Reeseville man was involved in an accident Friday morning when the National Guard passenger bus he was driving on Interstate 90 hydroplaned, causing him to loose control of the vehicle. Two occupants of another vehicle were injured.

Robert C. Davis of Reeseville was not injured when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the median, crossed the eastbound lane of traffic and came to rest in the right ditch of I-90. The accident occurred at 9:34 a.m. in Columbia County near Portage.

The driver of a 2005 Jaguar, Curtis Alan Axen, 62, of Rochester, Minn., was injured when he swerved to avoid the bus and struck debris from the vehicle. The debris cracked the car’s windshield and both Axen and his passenger, Dianne Mari Axen, 62, also of Rochester, were injured. Both were transported to Divine Savior with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident was handled by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
