Chase Maier of Dane received a $1,000 scholarship from United Cooperative, a farmer-owned cooperative based in Beaver Dam with locations throughout Wisconsin. It was among 50 scholarships provided to high school seniors and college students continuing their education in both agricultural or nonagricultural majors.

Melissa Wooten, an Iowa State University event management major from Waunakee, participated in the College of Human Sciences 2019 Entrepreneurship Showcase, May 3 in LeBaron Hall on the ISU campus in Ames. Wooten’s idea, Eventagram, focused on developing an event planning app that planners can easily book venues and see other available services on.

Jacob Andries of Waunakee has received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He will intern this summer in Philadelphia, then attend graduate school at ASU.

Chandler Joy McElrath graduated summa cum laude from Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in May. She has accepted an offer from the Medical College of Wisconsin to enter their PhD program in fall to pursue her doctorate in biochemistry.
