The Waunakee Tribune has announced the addition of Tim Wohlers to its staff. Wohlers joined the Tribune on May 13 as the assistant editor. He will cover news stories and photograph events for the paper.
Wohlers previously served as a reporter for the Hocak Worak, a biweekly newspaper owned and operated by the Ho-Chunk Nation, from June 2016 to June 2018. His articles have been published on Madison365, an online publication for minorities in Madison, and on the UW-Madison website.
Wohlers co-authored the 2014 memoir “Stories Shared Between Generations: Memoirs of a Sauk County Community,” a book retelling the lives of residents at Sauk County Health Care Center.
He was born in Madison and attended Sun Prairie High School.
Wohlers attended college at the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated with high honors and Phi Theta Kappa recognition in 2013.
Tribune editor Roberta Baumann welcomed Wohlers to the Tribune staff.
“Tim has shown enthusiasm for covering the Waunakee area community and will contribute greatly to the team here,” Baumann said.
