Waunakee Village President Chris Zellner handily won his bid for a third term as president in the April 2 election, according to unofficial results reported by Dane County.

With 100 percent of votes reported, Zellner turned back a challenge from Frank Bergman, garnering 90.9 percent of the votes.

With six candidates running for three trustee positions, Gary Herzberg, who lost his bid for reelection in 2018, received the highest percentage of the votes, at 20 percent. Incumbents Sue Springman and Phil Willems were reelected to the board to serve another two-year term.

The Tribune will report more results online and in the April 11 edition.
