The village of Cambridge is about to – again -- be without an administrator.

Last week, current Village Treasurer/AdministratorAndrew Wescott-Barten gave the Village Board his two-week notice.

Wescott-Barten, who was hired in July 2017, confirmed in an interview his last day will be Oct. 10. He said he has accepted a position with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

It’s the latest in a string of administrators who have left soon after being hired.

Wescott-Barten’s predecessor, Veronica Rudychev, resigned in March 2017 after just eight months on the job.

Rudychev was hired to fill a position left open by former village treasurer Nancy Zastrow, who left the village in June 2016. In addition, Rudychev stepped into the role of administrator, a position that had been vacant for a little more than a year.
