The Fort Atkinson Community Theatre Youth (Youth FACT) announces auditions for the annual winter production featuring local children.

The 2016 show is “Treasure Island, Young Pirates of the Caribbean,” a musical from the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel, adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller.

All area youngsters in grades two-seven are invited to audition. Youth FACT auditions will be held at the First Congregational Church, 31 W. Milwaukee Ave., Fort Atkinson on Sunday, Dec. 20 from 4-6 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 21 from 6-8 p.m.

Auditioners need not stay the whole time, but will work in small groups for about 20 minutes.

The show will be performed on Saturday, April 2, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at the Fort Atkinson High School auditorium, Fort Atkinson.

No preparation is needed to audition. Actors will be asked to read from the script and to sing.

A parent or guardian is needed to accompany each child to fill out the audition form, sign the picture release, and “cast contract” forms.

Actors are requested to bring a non‐returnable, recent “head shot” or consent to be photographed at the audition for casting purposes.

Rehearsal conflicts and parental involvement need to be noted on the audition form. Parental involvement is highly encouraged throughout the entire rehearsal/performance process.

Audition questions may be directed to Bob Horton at hortonb@uww.edu.
