A number of new programs free to the public are offered at Horicon Marsh in January, a wildlife walk and Stories at the Marsh event.

Don’t forget to check out the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center’s new Explorium is also now open.

The January events are free of charge and do not require advance registration:

•Saturday, Jan. 9, 1-2:30 p.m.-”Walk it Off With Winter Wildlife.”

The public is invited to enjoy a nature walk at Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center Saturday, Jan. 9, from 1-2:30 p.m.

“Winter provides a great opportunity to search for wildlife using tracks and signs they leave behind at Horicon,” said Liz Herzmann, DNR educator. The Horicon Marsh Educa-tion and Visitor Center is located between Horicon and Mayville on Highway. 28.
