The Humane Society of Jefferson County will host its 15th annual Fur Ball on Saturday, March 5.

This event is an important fundraiser for the shelter. The Fur Ball theme, “Bright Lights, Big City” will take place in the Verlo building, 201 N. Main St., Fort Atkinson.

An array of twinkling lights and other celestial decor will create a night club atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to dress for a night out on the town and strap on their dancing shoes.

The evening’s festivities begin at 7 p.m. For a $75 per person donation, guests will enjoy an open bar, lots of food, and the opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items. Tickets are available at the HSJC, W6127 Kiesling Road in Jefferson, or may be purchased online at or at the door the night of the event for a donation of $85 per person.

To RSVP or for those who would like to make an auction item or service donation, call Lisa Patefield at the Humane Society of Jefferson County at (920) 674-2048.

All proceeds from the 2016 Fur Ball support the shelter’s mission of caring for the lost, homeless, and abused animals of Jefferson County.
