On Saturday, Oct. 31, DeForest FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), in partnership with the Village of DeForest, held a community-wide Drive-Thru Trick or Treat event. It took place on DeForest Street near Fireman’s Park. Members of FBLA met with village officials to make sure all public health guidelines were followed to make this a safe event for everyone. Prior to the event, FBLA officers filled over 1,000 individually wrapped bags of candy and coupons from participating local businesses. Members of DeForest FBLA’s chapter volunteered to push the gift bags through decorated PVC pipes into car windows. “It was so great to see all the kids dressed up in Halloween costumes and it was really awesome that we were able to put a smile on their faces” said DeForest FBLA Vice President Maddie Martin.
