The Friends of the L.D. Fargo Public Library recently released its annual report for October 2020 through September 2021.

Among the major expenses for this time period were $1,611 for the Summer Reading Program, $1,288 for children’s and youth programs hosted by the library, and $1,000 for the annual scholarship.

Additionally the Friends is a sponsor of the newly created Story Walk at Wallace Park.

The major sources of income for the 12-month period were $2,365 from memberships, $869 from used book sales, $669 from the garden tour and quilt raffle, and $550 from corporate sponsors.

Friends of the L.D. Fargo Public Library was founded in 1987 to support the library staff and library board; sponsor programs designed to improve the social, cultural, and intellectual life of the community; and promote the library in all phases of community life.

All community residents are invited to join the Friends organization and support the library. Membership forms are available at the library and on the library’s website.
