A former Lodi man was found guilty of sex trafficking for prostitution on May 4.
Maurice Withers was convicted of forcing, threatening or coercing five different women, including two minors, into commercial sex. According to court documents, he transported two women and one minor between Wisconsin and Nevada for prostitution.
On four counts of sex trafficking of adults by force, threats or coercion, Withers could receive between 15 years and life in prison.
And on two counts of sex trafficking of a minor and the transporting a minor for prostitution, Withers faces 10 years to life in prison.
On two counts of transporting an individual for prostitution, he could receive up to 10 years in prison.
Wither’s sentencing is scheduled for July 17.
