A Lodi man has been sentenced to probation after a June 2015 domestic dispute.
At a Thursday, Nov. 19 sentencing hearing in Columbia County Circuit Court, Bradley Weinke, 35, city of Lodi, pled no contest to three felonies: strangulation and suffocation, false imprisonment and intimidation of a victim along with four misdemeanors: criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, battery and bail jumping.
Weinke was sentenced to two years of probation and $1,404 in fines. He originally faced $66,000 in fines and 29 years and nine months in prison.
The court withheld sentencing for battery and criminal damage to property and dismissed the other charges. Weinke is required to attend Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) counselling, provide a DNA sample, attend domestic abuse counseling, maintain absolute sobriety and has a firearms restriction, as terms of his probation.
According to the criminal complaint, Lodi police were dispatched to a residence on the 800 block of Meadowview Lane in the city of Lodi on June 24. The 27-year-old pregnant female victim, from the city of Lodi, was living with Weinke and an infant child when an argument and physical altercation broke out between the two of them.
