ABOVE: Rachel Flickinger, a senior at Lodi High School, made this piece for an art sale she put on Monday that served as her service project for the National Honor Society. It took place in a tent outside of the high school. Flickinger, who hopes to go on to study marine biology, created the event to raise money for the Sea Change Project’s work in South Africa. “I decided to do an art show because there are so many wonderful artists in the area, even in a small town like Lodi,” said Flickinger. “Through this, I think all of us can feel some camaraderie with the oceans.” BELOW: Local students set up at tables with various pieces at the art show.
