The 43rd annual Ryder Cup golf tournament on Sept. 21-26, 2021 at Whistling Straits in Kohler is looking for college students interested in short-term employment opportunities.
The PGA of America is recruiting students to work in merchandising, retailing, sports and golf management programs during the event through its online site, PGA Job Match.
Those interested should visit https://pgaimpact.org/pgajobmatch/ to learn more.
Registration forms must be completed before Dec. 19.
Other recruits are needed at three other major events in 2021: the PGA Championship on May 17-23 at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina, the 2021 Senior PGA Championship on May 25-30 at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship on June 22-27 at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia.
Introductions will be made between qualified candidates and the PGA’s hiring managers. After that, the candidates will be invited to participate in the next phase of the hiring process.
Connections will be made in April 2021 between qualified candidates and key vendors for part-time and full-times temporary jobs occurring pre-, during and post-championship.
“The PGA of America is committed to creating a golf industry workforce that mirrors America, and one of the greatest impacts we can make is to support skill development and the creation of job opportunities in conjunction with major events,” PGA Officer Sandy Cross.
