McFarland softball defeated by Beloit Turner

McFarland wrapped up regular season play with a 6-1 loss to Beloit Turner on Friday, June 4.

McFarland finishes the regular season at 7-13 overall with a sixth-place finish in the Rock Valley Conference standings.

The Spartans earned a fifth-seed in the Big Foot Sectional. They will be in Monroe facing the Cheesemakers at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 14.

McFarland 7 East Troy 8

The Spartans fell to East Troy by on, with a final score of 7-8 on Thursday, June 3.

McFarland bolted to a 5-0 lead after scoring three runs in the first inning and two in the second inning. However, the Trojans erased the deficit, scoring five runs to tie the game.

McFarland responded by taking back the lead with two runs in the fifth inning. However, East Troy tied it up again at 7-7 with two runs in the bottom of the frame. The Trojans pulled ahead for good with a run in the sixth, giving them the 8-7 victory.

Alexia Johnson knocked in two runs on three hits for the Spartans. Maddy Fortune added two RBIs at the plate, and Brooklyn Judd had two hits in the loss.

Brynne Biere pitched a complete game, striking out five.

McFarland 6 Whitewater 0

The Spartans snapped a seven-game skid, defeating Whitewater 6-0 on Tuesday, June 1.

Brynne Bieri pitched a complete-game shutout for the Spartans. At the plate, Morgan Butler had two RBIs, while Bieri and Ally Rudolf each knocked in a run in the win.
