James A. Bohn, 64, passed away suddenly from a stroke Saturday, March 2, 2019.
James was born at home Dec. 3, 1954, in Deerfield to Joseph and Alice (Dohm) Bohn. After graduating from Deerfield High School in 1973, he worked for Mid-State and on the family farm until moving to San Diego, California, in 1984 where he worked in construction the rest of his adult life.
James is survived by his mother Alice, of Deerfield; three brothers, David, Joe and Jeff (Carri) Bohn of Deerfield; three sisters, Carolyn (Dwaine) Tucker of Morrisonville, Vivian (Robert) Lehman of Madison, Angela (Kevin) Virchow of Marshall, and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Bohn.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cottage Grove. Visitation will be at the church Saturday at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Marshall.
