The Milton Public Library will be celebrate its newly renovated and expanded space with a grand opening party noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 4.
The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting, live music, hourly family activities, a drone airshow, robots, refreshments and more.
With bold colors, curved glass walls and bountiful lighting, the library is a showpiece and destination for the community and beyond. The addition of a second floor means the library is able to offer new services and even more innovative programs.
New services include: a state-of-the-art community room that can be reserved by local organizations and businesses for meetings, webinars, and on-line conferences; multiple tutoring and study rooms that hold up to six people; a large children’s department with literacy-based play areas; a quiet room with places to spread out and read or work; and the SPARK, a makerspace lab, for hands-on projects for all ages.
