The Milton Public Library is extending its hours for high school students only January 15 through January 17 to give them a quiet, comfortable, and distraction-free place to study for exams. The extended hours are: Monday, January 15, 8:00-10:00 p.m.; Tuesday, January 16, 8:00-10:00 p.m., and Wednesday, January 17, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
The library has four study rooms for small group study, as well as bigger rooms for more collaborative, large-group study. There are also multiple comfortable chairs and areas for individuals. Snacks, coffee, and water will be available at no cost. Students may also bring their own snacks and beverages.
There will also be short study breaks provided by the library for each day. On Monday, favorite childhood board games will be available. On Tuesday, a short YouTube yoga video will be played in the Storytime room. And on Wednesday, participants will have the chance to make a small 3D object on a 3D printer.
Those students interested in being at the library during these extended hours are encouraged to call 868-7462 to register. The library is located at 430 E. High Street. The new regular hours are: Monday-Tuesday, 10-8; Wednesday-Friday, 10-6; Saturday, 10-4; and Sunday, 1-4.
