Backing up a commanding Regionals title - winning by 17 strokes - the Milton girls golf team topped it with a 20-stroke win at sectionals on Oct. 4, shooting 359 to host Badger's 379.

Taylor Hakala and Claudia Seeman both tied for a team-low round of 81, taking second overall. Badger's Holly Murphy shot 74 to take the sectional title.

Seeman tied for an event low on the front nine with a 38, while Hakala shot one stroke more for 39. The two switched places on the back nine with Hakala shooting a stroke less than her teammate at 42 to 43.

Grace Weiss finished under triple-digits for the Red Hawks with 97, going 47 on the front nine and 50 on the back.

Reagan Moisson rounded out the Red Hawks scoring players with her round of 100 - 51 on the front and 49 on the back. Callie Hakala shot 109 on the day - 57 and 52.

It will be Milton's fifth straight appearance at University Ridge in Madison and eighth in the past nine years. It is the Red Hawks' fourth straight sectional title, going back to a second-place finish in 2013 by a single stroke.

The two-day state tournament will take place Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.
