The Milton Junction Pub Crescents came up short Sunday in their bid for a first Rock River League win of the season by dropping a tense extra-innings heartbreaker at sunny Rubicon, 3-2.

An error on an attempted double play to end the 10th inning foiled Milton’s spirited effort to crack the win column. Each team scored a run in the first inning and then neither could score until the 10th.
