Milton senior boys soccer player Joey Leverenz has been named to the All-Badger East Conference second team, chosen by a vote of conference coaches.

Leverenz, a senior forward, tallied nine goals and eight assists for the season, as coach Ryan Wagner’s Red Hawks went 7-11 overall and finished fifth in the eight-team Badger West with a 3-4-0 record.

Also, Milton junior midfielder Deegan Riley earned all-conference honorable mention honors. Riley totaled five goals and 12 assists on the year.

“These two were the backbone of our attack,” Wagner said. “Joey finished off a great high school career being our stats leader the last two seasons. He was also named offensive MVP for the team the past two seasons.

“Deegan was just a constant threat on the wing and that is why he had so many assists,” Wagner said. “He constantly beat his man to feed the ball to other players in the middle. Thankfully, we get Deegan back next year as a senior.”
