In April, the Poynette School Board will have two seats up for election. District Clerk Randy Tomlinson was notified that incumbent Jerry Burke — whose seat will appear on the ballot — will not seek re-election.

Burke has filed his Notification of Non-candidacy with the district.

The other seat up for election is the one currently held by Jamie Pauli. It is not known at this time of Pauli’s intentions for the upcoming election.

These offices will serve a three-year term on the Poynette School Board, beginning April 25. The spring election is Tuesday, April 5.

Any elector desiring to be a candidate for the school board must file a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy by no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at the Poynette School District Office. Once filed, a declaration may not be withdrawn.

Forms and guidelines can be found at www.poynette.k12.wi.us, under the “District” tab, and clicking on “School Board Members”. Forms can also be obtained from the District Office at 108 N. Cleveland St. during regular business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Mondays through Fridays, up until Wednesday, Dec. 22.
