A “Paint with the Artist” event is being held to benefit Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), in honor of Rigby Ganz, a 24-month-old toddler who continues to need financial support following a kidney transplant.
The paint event is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. at The Ball Room, 112 E. Cook St., Portage, a restaurant and pool hall owned by Mike Ganz, Rigby’s uncle. Local artist, Gina Parpart, who owns Color on Canvas, LLC, is sponsoring the event.
Rigby was diagnosed with Stage V Renal Failure at birth. The family needs an estimated $40,000 to pay for transplant-related expenses. Rigby, 2 years old, underwent a kidney transplant on June 7 at UW Children’s Hospital. His father, Nick, was the donor.
Funds are being raised for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Rigby to assist with ongoing transplant-related expenses.
For questions or registration, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Gina Parpart at (920) 358-6402. Kitty Anderson, Community Coordinator for COTA, Team Rigby G can also be reached at (608) 837-4929 or email@example.com for more information and volunteer opportunities.
Fundraising support comes from COTA, a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. Free of charge, COTA guides communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.
