The tradition is back! Join your friends and neighbors for an easy 1.5-mile candlelit hike at Patrick Marsh Wildlife Area on Jan. 21. Enjoy songs sung by Patrick Marsh Middle School choral students along the trail. When you’re done, warm up with a bonfire and good company.
The adventure will start in the back parking lot of Patrick Marsh Middle School (not the entrance off Stone Quarry Road). From there, we’ll hike into Patrick Marsh Wildlife Area and explore the trails together. Middle school teacher Vince Brandl will lead the way and share stories about teaching at Patrick Marsh as we trek through the snow.
Due to Covid, Groundswell Conservancy will not provide drinks or snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own. Roasting sticks for marshmallows will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged. Register at https://groundswellconservancy.org/event/patrick-marsh-bonfire-candlelit-hike/
