Four Sun Prairie cross country runners competed in the Boys Championship Wisco Open Meet on Saturday, Nov. 7. Joseph Freng, Mateo Alvarado Venegas (above), and Tyler Stoll and Joe Stoll all ran the 5,000-meter race held in Brillion, Wisconsin. Freng had the best finish of the quartet finishing in 15th place with a time of 16 minutes, 28.66 seconds. Alvarado Venegas was next in 21st place (16:36.77), followed by Tyler Stoll (32nd, 17:08.47) and Joe Stoll (38th, 17:39.52). Entry fee and participation in this race was managed by individual racers and their families. The shirts and shorts worn in these photos were designed and ordered by the racers, and purchased with their own money. There was no school sponsoring or coach involvement in the boys' participate in this event.
