Summer’s last hurrah is this weekend, so make the best of it by attending the Taste of Sun Prairie in downtown Sun Prairie from 11:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The Sun Prairie Lions Club, along with 10 of Sun Prairie’s finest eateries, are planning an end-of-summer soiree that will include three bands, kids activities and an opportunity to enjoy summer on the final non-holiday weekend before school starts in the Sun Prairie Area School District.
A climbing wall, bounce house and face painting will be among the activities available for kids, along with live music from Brandon Beebe (12-2 p.m.), Crosstown Drive (2:45-4:45 p.m.) and The London Fog (5:30-8 p.m.).
Of course, these activities are on top of the already fantastic variety of shops, restaurants, stores and distractions in downtown Sun Prairie. While seasoned Sun Prairians certainly already know that, there are many new residents and visitors who still haven’t explored Sun Prairie’s downtown offerings from art to yarn and everything in between.
The Lions have already placed good weather on order for this Saturday, and better yet, the proceeds from the event that includes Wisconsin Distributors products will be used to support the Wisconsin Lions Eye Bank and Wisconsin Lions Camp.
Great food, a great time with a great group of people -- all for a great cause. In horse racing, that kind of a victory could win big money for any gambler, but all you have to do is show up on Saturday to be the big winner!
