Soggy Prairie Boys

The Soggy Prairie Boys, shown above playing at Winter Fest in February, will be playing and singing to open the City of Sun Prairie's Concerts in the Park series on Thursday, June 29 at Wetmore Park.

Sun Prairie’s free Concerts in the Park series kicks off in style on Thursday night, June 29 when Sun Prairie’s own Soggy Prairie Boys perform at Wetmore Park.

Free family entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with the concert starting at 6 p.m.

The Soggy Prairie Boys are a five-piece string country/bluegrass band nominated in 2007 for Best Local Band by the Q106 Country Awards.

What makes their story even more interesting is the group originally formed at Sun Prairie High School as a result of an FFA competition in about 2005.

At Wetmore Park the entertainment may include a bouncy house, arts/crafts, caricature artist, balloon sculpture, face painting and more. The event is free to the community, which is another reason why Sun Prairie residents should attend.
